First-ever women’s Clásico de México in the U.S. to be held in Los Angeles

Club América, Chivas de Guadalajara, and BMO Stadium officially announced that the Women’s Clásico de México, Mexico’s biggest rivalry, is coming to the United States for the first time. This incredible match will take place at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on May 17, 2025. 

Women’s soccer has been on the rise for some time now, and women of all ages in the United States and Mexico are taking up the sport like never before. The rivalry between Club América and Chivas de Guadalajara knows no boundaries, and this match promises to be an unforgettable experience. 

Larry Freedman, Co-President, LAFC and BMO Stadium, welcomed representatives from both teams and special guests. Representing Chivas de Guadalajara, Nelly Simón, Sports Director, and current player Jaqueline Rodríguez were present while Club América was represented by its own Sports Director and current player, Claudia Carrión and Jocelyn Orejel, respectively. 

Mia Hamm, two-time FIFA World Cup champion and co-owner of Angel City FC, and Jaime Camil, famous actor and fervent LAFC supporter, gave a warm welcome to this history-making event. 

A four-hour Fiesta Futbolera will take place prior to the game with Mariachi, tortas ahogadas, mascots, trophies, and much more.

Tickets pre-sale for LAFC season-ticket holders will take place starting on Wednesday, April 9th at 10:00 a.m. PT. Tickets will be available for the general public starting on Thursday, April 10th, at 10:00 a.m. PT at ticketmaster.com, and ticketon.com.
